Blue & White Hexagons in Kaffe
Jacob's Coat blocks, glued & pinned & ready to applique
Tell me though, does it seem a little obsessive to be taking my lightbox camping with me? I need to place a lot more leaves on my grey background and need the lightbox for that. I always wonder where to draw the line with what to take when going away on holidays. I did ask hubby if I could take my sewing machine but he has put the foot down at that suggestion!!! We do have a powered tent site though, so I think I will have to sneak my lightbox in somewhere!
Well, I will have a lot of catching up to do when I get back so that I don't miss out on what you are all up to. Stay well and see you in a fortnight! xo

Have fun--funny I never thought camping as a quilt retreat! Gorgeous projects.
Have lots of fun, I hope the weather is perfect for you. I say sneak in the light box. It's an essential tool. I love how your JC blocks are looking, wow.
Travel safely, Cathy.
Yes, take the light box!! :) Its a necessity!!
Have a great holiday with your family.
Hope you will have a wonderful holiday! Obsessive to take a lightbox....LOL??
I learned another technique so I don’t necessarily need a lightbox.
No not obsessive at all! Take the light box for sure! Look out for Karen (Quilts on Bastings) whilst you are there (she's taken the crochet hook). Enjoy your stitching!
I believe in being prepared too. Just have lots of fun :-) Way to go and wishing for just the right weather.
Cheers
Lynne
I'd sneak the sewing machine in if I could....lol Have a great time enjoying the family and the outdoors!
The Jacobs Coat blocks are amazing!
Have the best time ever...I say sneak in the light box and stitch to your heart's content! This is a vacation, right. For Mom as well as everyone else! Enjoy!
That would be like camping without taking toilet paper!!! Take it!
Have a wonderful time on your camping vacation. I just don't understand why you can't bring your sewing machine?? LOL! I am just in love with both of the quilts that you are bringing along. They are wonderful. See you when you return!
Happy holiday Cathy. No not too much to take light box with you. I normally take the kitchen sink with me, just kidding! Have a relaxing time and lotta stitching - Hugs Natima
Heehee! The light box. :-) Have a wonderful time away!!
Have a wonderful time! I used to take my featherweight in the Motor Home all the time. I'm sure you will get a lot of handwork done.
Hi Cathy, Have an wonderful vacation! Of course you should take the lightbox with you!
Take good care of your self and your family. See you when you get back :o))
ENJOY!
LOL -- We have a pop-up tent trailer, and I LOVE family camping trips!!!!! Have a wonderful, wonderful time. And -- I heartily applaud that you are taking your light box with you! I would (if I had one). I usually tape things up in a dining room window, but I can't take that with me on trips! You have two very fun projects to work on!

Have fun Cathy! I wonder if you'll get anything done??? I always plan to do things on vacation, but never seem to get to them!
Have a great holiday Cathy, and of course the lightbox should travel with you!
Take it! Take it! Take it! Take it! Take it! (I know I would!)
I love your Joseph's Coat!! I have started one as well, smaller, for a nephew about to be born. I am really attracted to your color scheme, but, alas, my sister requested that it match her decorating scheme....argh!
Have a great holiday!
In stitches,
Teresa :o)
Well why not take the lightbox and the sewing machine...nobody will notice right? Lol
We girls have gotta do!!!!!!!!!!!
Have the best time Cathy,,,you'll have a blast!!
hugs

I would take the lightbox and leave the hairdryer at home(he he). JC is looking fabulous - and the blue and white hexagons - STUNNING. Your house must be amazing with all these fabulous works of art.
Have a fun trip...sounds glorious to me! I've said it before, but I really love the color of your background fabric for the Jacob's Coat blocks. It really makes your other fabrics "pop."
Cathy have a wonderful relaxing holiday...and I just love your projects.
You're supposed to do it the old-fashioned way - stick your pieces to a sheet of glass and hold them up to the sun. :-)
Have fun!
Hi Cathy, I stumbled across your blog when looking for Kim Mclean patterns (a recent addiction) and what a great find. Congratulations on your beautiful work! After reading a number of your posts I HAD to make a couple of phone calls and a 20 minute drive to pick up a copy of Quilt Romance. Hope you enjoy your break and cannot wait to see more of your creations. Thank you, Sharon
Oh Cathy, lovely lovely projects. I love the fabric and colors.
Congratulations! You and your blog have just been awarded a Lemonade Stand Award. Please see my blog for details (after your holidays, of course).
