A Small Break

Funny, I haven't posted for two weeks and now I don't know how to start!!! Anyway, I just want to pop in and say thank you to all who have emailed and commented...I am taking a small break from blogging and sewing.

I have had a very sore right shoulder which makes blogging, commenting, stitching, sewing rather painful. I decided to take a break from it all while I am getting treatment (which is starting to help, yay). I am missing you all dreadfully, not to mention the size of my withdrawals from stitching! I do hope to be back to it all very soon (maybe another week or so), thank you for encouragement and care. Til next time xo

I am so sorry to hear about your shoulder - it is tough when your body can't do the things you want to do. I hope it improves quickly - see you back soon.

I have heard of several shoulder problems recently and all needed therapy...not fun stuff! Take you time to get back becaue your health is worth more than blogging. We will all still be here when you get back, God willing and the creek don't rise! :)

Is crafting and blogging hazardous to our health? I sure hope not. Be well.

Glad you are on the mend. I wondered what had happened. I can relate to the sewing withdrawal. My worst nightmare is not being able to create. I don't have my blog up and running yet but am looking forward to new friends through this great way to communicate with the world.

So glad you checked in, I was wondering if you had gone off on another vacation. I can totally understand where you are coming from with the shoulder. My shoulder/neck area has a similar problem and it can be exacerbated by extensive use like typing, cutting, hand sewing, well you know. Anyway, I am glad to hear that your treatment is helping and I hope that you return to normal soon. Get well! And yes, you were missed!

Rest up, Cathy - I'm having left shoulder reconstruction on 15 March, hope I don't have to retreat for a while, maybe I'm too optimistic!

I have REALLY missed you, but sometimes quilters and bloggers take a break for a few weeks, so I have tried to be patient. Take all the time you need; HOWEVER, know that you are missed. Take care.

Sorry to hear that you are having shoulder issues, there is nothing worse than having your body complicate things for you. I hope you are healed and feeling better soon, til then, take good care of yourself. Maybe even baby yourself a bit, it helps to make these things seem better sometimes. I know for me, a bit of chocolate makes all things feel better.

Oh Cathy! I can just see you longing to get back to your applique and your quilting! I hope the treatment is doing wonderful things for you - be patient though - injuries can take a lot longer to heal than what you expect - especially now that (we) are older than....21! Have you snaffled some good books from work to read?
