A Thank you, a Stashing and a Concern

Before we left for our holiday I won a giveaway over at Sew Fresh Fabrics.
When we arrived home, there it was waiting for me. 4 fat quarters of the gorgeous Tufted Tweets from Laurie Wisbrun.
Thank you so much Peg and Becca, such a beautiful giveaway.

I had quite fallen in love with this new Tufted Tweets range and purchased the whole range as soon as it hit the stores. Purchased from Fabricworm.
These adorable couches are my favourite.
I am thinking of adding some of these Kona cottons to the Tufted Tweets. I purchased these from Jackie at Canton Village Quilt Works a while ago, they are pretty close in colour don't you think?
Also new to the stash is this little beauty....now I only have to work out how to use it.
As well as a fat quarter set from Kathy at Pink Chalk Fabrics. I adore this Far Far and Away II range from Heather Ross, the sleeping beauty is my particular favourite. This fabric is a linen and therefore heavier than the usual cotton, I haven't decided what I will do with it yet.
Last but by very means not least is the incredible, amazing, awe inspiring pattern from the very talented Kim McLean. Her new Roseville Album, Vases Birds and Other Things Quilt is going to be hard to beat and will provide a great challenge. Is anyone else making this one? I have yet to decide on my background fabric.

As far as my concern goes, lately I have noticed a growing trend in receiving comments from people that come through as 'noreply-comment@blogger.com' (this means I have no way of replying to you). I do try to reply to most comments (though I do go through periods where that is impossible), however I definately reply to any comment that asks me a question. Lately however I have had a few questions that I cannot reply to because there is no reply email address.

If anyone has a specific question about any of my quilts/pictures/blog, could I please ask you to email me (if you click into 'view my complete profile' on the right side of my blog you will find my email). This way I can reply to you. Alternatively, you can leave your email address at the bottom of your comment or add your email to your profile on your blog. I am sure many people don't even realise their comments come through as no-reply, but it does make it hard to reply to questions.

Thank you for your patience with my rave, I will leave you with a lovely picture of the Sydney Opera House, taken as we walked across the Sydney Harbour Bridge a week ago.
Have a great stitching week. xo

The other day I was told by someone else that my comments were coming up as noreply. I didn't fix it the way you've suggested, I fixed it by allowing my email address to be visible on my profile. I think the way you've suggested it will just email you the comments made on your own blog. I might be wrong there though.

Glad you're back! The picture is awesome! I'm very intimidated by the new quilt pattern and the colors you've chosen for your fabrics are just gorgeous!

What wonderful treasures to come home to -- makes the end of vaca not so bad? I definitely need to acquire some tufted tweets and some more far far away ii. I'm planning to make the Roseville Album (don't laugh) and am waiting on some lovely background fabric to arrive. Whee! Some gals are already flying along with it.

Love the Tufted Tweets. My daughter has a thing for chairs and couches and I want to make her something using the amazing line. LOVE the solids you've chosen too. Lots of great projects ahead for you.

Beautiful fabrics. Lucky you for the win. I think they will match wonderfully with the Kona's you picked up through Jackie.

I think that one of the blind spots in blogspot (Blogger) is that "no reply" business. Any time someone comments on your blog, Blogger uses that "no reply" return address when they send a notice to your email that you have a comment. I haven't found any way around that set up of theirs.

That's one reason I like Wordpress, as the person has to type in their email address, as well as a URL if they have a blog.

I've enjoyed reading your blog (just found you and read most of it in one sitting), but unfortunately this comment will also come up in your emailbox as a "no reply" return address. No worries about a reply--I just wanted to leave a comment saying how great your quilt creations are. Glad you had a good time on your vacation!

Lucky you! I have EQ6 and I love it. I thought the lessons where good and straightforward. The program seems to be very intuitive and easy to use. Good luck with it!

Gorgeous fabrics and so different from anything I ever see over here in Switzerland. I' looking forward to seeing how you use those sofa fabrics - they strike me as tricky!

Wow, if that is what happens to your mailbox when you go away , vacations can be a pretty good thing!! Isn't it great that Kona solids go with just about everything? They will look fantastic with Tufted tweets. I know what every you decide to make it will be totally gorgeous.

Nice solids to go with your Tufted Tweets :)

Those no replay-comment bloggers always make me feel bad. Sometimes they leave such lovely comments, or ask a question, or tell something personal that they can relate to about something on my blog. And I want to respond -- I really, REALLY do. But I can't. It always makes me feel badly.

Absolutely gorgeous fabrics! And I loved the photo of the Opera House - we were in Sydney last September on holiday - although we travelled slightly further than you to get ther - we live in Scotland!! I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the fabrics.

OK - I'm curious about your concern. I don't blog but I leave lots of comments at othrs blogs. If available I always use my Google sign in - it lists my name in the comment but not my email. So I'm doing this little experiment - when you read this please send me an email & let me know if you are able to access my email thru my Google account or if you had to use the one I am leaving here: tegens@charter.net

thanks - love your blog by the way!
