This block came together pretty quickly. For some reason the colours just looked right from the start. I have begun to assemble the fabrics for my third block, and this one is not behaving at all!!!
I love the centre fabric on this block. I decided early on to make my version of Kim's Roseville Album a very bright and happy quilt (I think it will probably be a sickening confection of a quilt in the end, but at least I'm having fun with all the bright colours for now). To offset all the brights I'm using black and white for all the stems and tree trunks. I am trying to avoid using any brown at all.
So the first two blocks are complete, only 15 blocks to go!!! I'm off to try and make block three behave, if it is not careful it might be skipped and block 4 will be done instead!
