...as the monster tropical cyclone 'Yasi' crosses the North Queensland border tonight. Please keep our brave Queenslanders in your thoughts and prayers as they face the biggest cyclone our nation has seen.

Keeping Australia in my thoughts Cathy. This morning I watched the news. Cyclones in one part and forest fires in another. Your continent is going through an ordeal.

Oh good God - what a monster. Keeping you and Australia in my thoughts and prayers. Australia will always have a special place in my heart - my husband went to high school in Brisbane and our two daughters were born in Sydney. Warm wishes from Panama.

Really hoping and praying it doesn´t reach the coast as strong as it´s been announced and lives aren´t lost.

My goodness! I hope that it takes a diverted path. You have all seen the worst of the worst. No more!

This hasn't quite been Australia's year so far, has it? I hope it dies down even faster than they predict!

lots of devastation by the looks, but I did just hear on the radio that it wasn't as bad as it could have been- thankfully.

The wanton woman even swung her tail around Victoria and flooded me from the ceiling.
Great fun if you do not weaken...the sound of the fans on the carpet is great.
