No, not me, I am still very happily married, however I am joining in on the Single Girl fun kicked off by Katy over at I'm a Ginger Monkey. The Single Girl pattern by Denyse Schmidt is one I have 'been going to' make for a long time, so Katy's group was all the encouragement I needed to get started.
My templates and fabrics are now chosen and cut...
This process has taken a couple of days, the fabrics I initially chose have been auditioned and they either made the grade, or were rejected, other fabrics then found to take their place. Lots of Flea Market Fancy, Kaffe and Brandon fabrics, some Lizzie House, one Good Folks, a Sis Boom Toile and some Peas and Carrots.
I had to write the word 'up' on each template because I was quickly getting confused which way was right side up!!!
I'm thinking I will team these colours with a gorgeous Kona cotton background in Taupe.
Talking about confusion...I did a full post last week about my wonderful time in class with Kaffe and Brandon, only realising a couple of hours later I had posted it on the Glorious Applique blog rather than here!!! So I deleted it from there thinking I would re-post here, but now cannot be bothered to do it again! Perhaps I will down the track, but for now I will leave you with a pic of Kaffe chatting about what he liked and what he would do differently on my 'smouldering' (kaffes words) dark Bordered Diamonds quilt.
You can see a lot more about the awesome time we had that day over at Patchandi, Yellow Rose Quilts and Meli B's gorgeous blogs. Perhaps when I finish this quilt I will show more.

PS Looking forward to Thursday's stitching!! What are you thinking of bringing?
Oh I think you have chose all my fav fabrics & background...can't wait to see it come together! (just love that you are mixing it up)
I have been sorely tempted to add Single Girl to my projects (it looks like the sew along will be fun!) Your fabrics are such pretty colors that maybe I can just experience it through watching your progress! I'm also so glad you mentioned posting on Glorious Applique, then taking the post down, meaning for it to be here. I had thought I had seen the post, but when I went to read it, it wasn't there--thought I was losing my mind a bit more than normal! Glad it's just the normal amount! So what would Kaffe do differently on your smouldering quilt? It looks smoulderingly stunning to me!
Great start on the Single Girl quilt. I am so tempted to jump in on this iconic pattern... Look forward to follow your progress!
; )
oh I missed that post! I love seeing what you are working on in his class and reading about what you all learned.

thats something to think about for another post!

Your quilt looks interesting and very confusing, can't wait to see it put together.
I love the Single Girl Quilt patterns - and you still have some of those fabrics!!
Critique by Kaffe! What a terrific learning experience too. Although happily married, we were all Single Girls once upon a time. I love your fabric choices. All those little templates...I'm going to be a watcher not a do-er.
I am also tempted by the single girl quilt....love the fabrics you chose.
Your post has me grinning. I don't know about smouldering, but I think your single girl fabric choices are SMOKIN' HOT! It's everything a single girl would want to be, right?? :-) Your background choice is wonderful too!
Seems like a lot of work, but I bet it will be beautiful. Love the fabrics you have chosen. I'm not into piecing, but this one has my interest. Looking forward to seeing your progress.
WOW I'm lovin' those fabrics and the pattern is very interesting. I can see how you could get twisted up sewing on these. I can hardly wait to see a block done :0)

Oh you temptress you! I have had this pattern for a while now and I would love to buy 10 more hours to each day so that I could make it...lol
I will enjoy watching your progress on Single Girl instead.
I'll bet that Kaffe didn't have too much to critique with your fabrics...I love them!
I really want to make this quilt too. But I just can't squeeze it in. It is so fun to watch everyone.
Love Single Girl too...but no time to start it...I will enjoy watching the progress of yours though!
I love the fabrics you are using Cathy! I look forward to seeing them with that gorgeous background.
I had wondered what happened to you GA post!!
I'm considering the single girl too! Just bought the pattern a couple of weeks ago! My goodness, there sure are a lot of templates! :) Love the fabrics you've got there.
