Quilts on Display!

Recently I was thrilled to be asked to hang a couple of my quilts in our council/library foyer. There was just enough room for four quilts, two are Andrea's amazing creations (our shire cultural planner) and two are mine.

Mine is the Japanese Fruit Salad on the left, rather dwarfed by Andrea's huge log cabin quilt made out of 1000's of incredibly tiny log cabin blocks. Check out a closeup....

I also hung my Fassetted Mosaic quilt. We have yet to put up some info sheets.

What fun to have our quilts hanging in a public space for a couple of months. If you are visiting the mornington library you will see them on your way in!!

I will get a few pics together of my now finished Japanese Fruit Salad quilt to show very soon. xo

swoon, I wish that was my library with the mosaic quilt in - actually that's not strictly true, I wish it was hanging in my sitting room!

How exciting. These quilts add beauty and great color to the space. I know they'll be appreciated by the library patrons. Perhaps they'll want to start checking out quilting books.

Love your library quilt displays. I have displayed quilts made by my friends and myself at the Kempsville Area Library in Virginia Beach, VA, USA. I worked there for 15 years and the new quilt is always eagerly awaited. The public gets to see what their neighbors are doing. I change the quilt (ONLY 1) each month.
