Yes...

...I'm still here, but with my shoulder flaring up again I have once again been avoiding the computer as much as possible.

Email answering does get done even if it takes a long while. I adore reading all comments but am not answering to try and save my shoulder. I guess it is something I will have to live with it's been about two years now and I know many of you have experienced this too.

In other Cabbage household news, we recently welcomed Millie into our family.

We adopted her from a family whose circumstances had changed and could no longer have her. She flew down to us from Cairns and has quickly made her way into our hearts (and onto the lounge in front of the telly!!!)

Millie is a Groodle which means she is a poodle crossed with a golden retriever (I think they are called Golden Doodles in the US?). The best thing is that she doesn't shed hair all over the place. To me she looks like a big teddy bear. She is about 19 mths old and has such a happy, friendly personality and loves lying around in strange positions!!

Millie lounging around with our eldest son....

DS has started his VCE exams today and I wish him, and all the year 12 students the best of luck with their exams. He recently had his valedictory night, very handsome!!

It was a wonderful night, a time to look back on all they have achieved through their high school years, to have a meal together and of course watch the teachers do a funny dance (fabulous!). It is great to be able to celebrate the finishing of their school years with them in this way.

Today I am working on my Bloggers Bom blocks, I hope to be able to show them soon but I can say they will be bright, I'm using some of my gorgeous Keiko Goke fabrics!

Man, Millie makes me want another dog! Like a big teddy bear, cute! And awesome you adopted her, everyone goes for puppies, you have a pre-trained (I hope) dog! Hope her cuddles help alleviate the shoulder pain (still sewing, I hope)

Hope the shoulder recovers, have you tried remedial massage, I have one once a month and that helps all my aches and pains (even though it is quite painful at the time). Love Millie, we have a schnoodle called Coco and she is just like a big teddy bear, my daughter drags her around though now she is pretty heavy but they are just lovely bouncy dogs great addition to the family.

Hope your shoulder feels better soon (and isn't interfering with petting the new family member). Those fabrics are absolutely yummy looking (drool worthy)! Congrats and good luck on the exams to your son too!

I can relate -- I have neck/shoulder issues. Blogging just may be hazardous to our health!!! Millie is obviously quite loved and very happy in her new home. She's a beauty and I know will be tons of happiness. Abby is very happy to hear about the adoption. Looking forward to lots of Millie pictures.

So sorry the shoulder has re-emerged... drat!! LOVE Millie! She is a more gangly (and bigger) version of Raf! Same upside down rolling tendencies too! You'll have such joy living with her. And how nice to see a pic of your handsome sun and your husband too! Great pics! xx

I can certainly empathize with you regarding your shoulder. -sigh- Hope you steadily improve.

Millie is such a cutie! I mean, really. I didn't know that a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle was even possible (if you know what I mean). Consider the logistics! :)) Anyway, I'll bet she will bring loads of joy to you and your family in the years to come.
