My Oakshott Dahlia quilt has been published...
You can find this pattern in this months release of Down Under Quilts magazine (Issue 159, Practical Publishing).
I made this quilt last year, here it is hanging on my fence framed by our beautiful plum tree in full blossom. Nice to see the blossoms again because right now I'm absolutely freezing on a cold and wet winters day!!
I designed this quilt around this sweet little pile of Oakshott Ruby Red cottons I had received from here. The colour in these shot cottons still catches my eye every time I see them (I've since purchased more!).
It still shocks me to see my name in print!!
And coming up on Saturday 24th August (from 9:30am-2:30pm), I'm teaching my free motion quilting class at Treehouse Textiles.
We work hard in this class, learning the basics beginning with how to prepare your quilt for machine quilting, to learning many different free motion quilting designs from simple, to the more complicated.
Our hosts at the Treehouse, Emma and Sarah, treat us magnificently all day with wonderful teas, coffee's and delicious food including an amazing lunch! If you would love to join in and learn a new skill, or hone what you can already do, book here.

Congratulations on having another one of your stunning quilts published!!!
Absolutely stunning quilt. Love all the fabrics. Read the magazine this morning and Instagrammed your Quilt so the whole world knows about your talent.
Love your Dahlia quilt! The colors are so vibrant and your pattern is appealing. I regret that this magazine is not available in France.
Will you propose some patterns to our French magazine Quiltmania?...

Brilliant effort getting another original quilt to publication. It must feel hugely satisfying when all the writing is done and you see your name up in print.
