The Before's and the Afters!

I'm back with some studio photo's! As you know we decided to kick our cars out of the garage and set it up for me and my quilting stuff to move in! We gave it over to a lovely builder and his team to make the garage habitable and well lit, and I found some great secondhand carpet squares for the floor. So here are the photo's....

Before back wall...

After back wall...

Before side wall...

After side wall...(loving that new door!)

Before window wall...

After window wall...(check out those wonderful fabric shelves!)

So once that was all done (and I'd killed my shoulders helping hubby painting it!) I was ready to move in. It is more difficult to take good photo's now I have moved in and filled up the room entirely, but you get some idea from these pics.

Back wall...including humbling-ly large fabric stash and huge design wall.

Side wall...pressing board, cutting table, pinning table area and hand stitching chair!

Window wall...the sewing, office and book storage area.

Front door wall...

I'm actually enjoying working in here with the front door open, I think it will be lovely especially through the summer evenings.

So there it is. I am incredibly grateful, humbled and thankful for this AMAZING space I can now get to work in. I am still pinching myself that I have been able to move from an incredibly small room to this roomy studio. I have loved filling this place with tables and items from op shops and ebay to keep costs down and to give it a lived in look. I will show a few of my favourite pieces in another post, as well as a few pics on how I made my pressing board. See you soon. xo
